We wanted to thank you for joining us on this new thrilling ride in our lives.

We decided to start a travel blog due to our shared interests in travel and since we were both studying at university in the travel field, it made sense to us.
But, it is much more than just a standard travel blog. We created it to not only share destination guides of places we visited but to also chronicle our journey in the travel & tourism field. Tom is a budding Pilot and I’m a budding travel & film writer and lecturer. Tom went into his degree knowing he wanted to be a pilot, for me I knew I wanted to be a writer but I didn’t know I would also be pursuing a doctorate and lecturing too. Tom loves working onsite, perfect for a Pilot, I mainly love working from home, perfect for a writer!

With all our career aspirations, comes time and really just a lot of work and money... We know how hard it is securing a coveted spot at a Piloting school whether paid or sponsored. Breaking out as a writer can be difficult when finding the right platform and audience. But, we decided to follow our passions and create a space we both own and love.
You can support our journeys further by keeping up to date with Tom through his Aviation Diary where he shares his experiences in aviation and aviation related visits. We’ll also share our conference visits. You can find more travel ‘think pieces’ here, that I have apathy named Travelling Thoughtful (let’s see if it sticks!). I’ll delve into more tourism related topics, some fun, some crucial but honest. Something which I do not see often in other travel blogs.
Just a little bit more about the blog…
We aim to create destination guides only for places we have visited. We will never create a guide for a place we haven’t been to as that would be disingenuous. We are currently thinking of our travels for next year as we like to plan ahead. All travels will be based on how we can travel at this point in time and how we can help others travel affordably too.
We are more than a usual travel blog…
It is also an educational blog and we hope to provide material to help students or anyone looking to learn more about the Travel & Tourism industry. We aim to grow this over time.
We wanted to thank you for visiting and supporting our journey. We hope as our blog continues to grow, we can also grow an amazing community whom we hope to provide future quirky self-guided tours as well as more bespoke industry advice. Your support will go a long way in helping us achieve our goals but also provide a valuable space for fellow travel torrsomes!
